VOCABULARY

Index : a list of words or phrases and associated pointers to where useful material relating to that heading can be found in a document or collection of documents.

Glossary : an alphabetical list of words relating to a specific subject, text, or dialect, with explanations; a brief dictionary.

Ask your child to find some language features in informative text and explain the purpose of it.
