Outdoor Education Collaboration

St Brigid’s / Mazenod College Outdoor Education Collaboration

Last week, we had the first of our co-class Outdoor Ed lessons with St Brigid’s. This follows on from the very successful after school sessions from last year. The lessons are designed for Mazenod College Outdoor Ed students to meet with St Brigid’s Outdoor Ed students to develop social skills whilst enjoying outdoor pursuits.

The boys gained experience in setting up our new inflatable stand up paddle boards (iSUPs) before taking them over to St Brigid’s and trying them out.

So far, they have completed challenging activities with St Brigid’s students, and we can’t wait for our next lesson in Week 9.

All students approached the lesson with excitement, respect, teamwork and skill, and should be congratulated on their efforts!

Thank you to the Parents Association for providing these amazing learning resources!

Thank you also to St Brigid’s Teacher, Mr Luke Forde for being so enthusiastic about the program.

There are many opportunities to collaborate in Outdoor Ed in the future including more after school sessions, class sessions, Bibbulmun track custodian trips and even camps – so watch this space!
