Opens Rugby League

On Wednesday 14th June the Opens Rugby League team participated in the PSSA Rugby League Knockout. We played 3 games of football, our first game was against Nambucca Public School and we won 34 to 14. In our second game we played against Macksville Public School, we won 42 to 10. In the last game we unfortunately lost to Narranga in the semi. The score was 20 to 4. The boys have played and trained very well.

BPS Girls Soccer

In round 3 of the PSSA soccer tournament, the Boambee girls demonstrated their skills as they went head-to-head against Narranga on the Coffs Harbour synthetic fields. Showing teamwork, the Boambee girls delivered a stellar performance, resulting in an impressive

7-1 scoreline that reflected their dominance on the field. The Boambee girls' triumph in this match serves as a testament to their hard work and commitment. We wish the girls all the best of luck in round 4.

North Coast Netball

On Wednesday, two Boambee teams headed to the Netball Gala day. The school team was successful against Sawtell, Bonville, Toormina and Nambucca Heads, making it through to the regional quarter finals (Round 5 of the knockout competition) against Frank Partridge next term. Our second team, coached by Pippa, unfortunately had 2 losses but also 2 huge wins against other school teams. They all improved out of sight over the day of netball. Thank you to Sawtell Toormina Netball Club, Coffs Harbour Netball Association and our umpires (2 of whom were past Boambee students - Mia and Charlise) and parents for your help and support. Well done to all of the players - you showed great sportsmanship and terrific Boambee values.

On other netball news, Chisel from our school team was in Sydney on Friday trialing for the NSW Boys netball team. With around 100 participants, Chisel played well to make it to the possibles versus probables match, but unfortunately was not selected in the end. Well done Chisel, a great effort!
