Principal's News

Our theme for this year

15/08/22

In the Gospel of Luke, Mary gives these words, which we call the Magnificat:

                                            “My soul glorifies the Lord

and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour,

  for he has been mindful

of the humble state of his servant.

From now on all generations will call me blessed,

for the Mighty One has done great things for me —

holy is his name.”        (Luke 1:46-49)

Dear Parents and Carers,

As Eva and I complete the Prep Interviews for 2023, I feel absolutely blessed to be the leader of this amazing community of families, staff and parish who work together to grow learners.  It was wonderful speaking to families face to face.  All families spoke to us about being excited to join this Prep cohort and to be part of the St Kevin’s Community.

Working together in partnership is something that I highly value.  I am aware that I am asking you to complete surveys, attend important events in the evening and ensure that you communicate with me.  This is all in the name of building an excellent school that provides the best opportunities to empower future generations - our students.

WELCOME to the Rezazadeh Family

Last week we welcomed the Rezazadeh Family to St. Kevin’s.  Rodin has joined the Middle C group and he has been warmly welcomed by Students and Staff.   Rodin’s family arrived from Iran in June and it was a pleasure to meet Heli and Amir and assist them to transition into the community.

EUCHARIST  Saturday 13/08/22

Congratulations on receiving your First Eucharist to Liesel, Aria, Mia, Alexander, Asher, Sam, Lennix and Ndapiwa! May you feel the presence of Jesus as you fully participated in the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Jesus is with you always. He will never leave you. May you grow in your relationship with Him forever and ever.

It was a beautiful celebration led by Father Charles.

We appreciate all the work, commitment and care shown by the parish staff, Rebecca, Nadia, Pam, Tiziana and the teachers - Mr Con, Ms. Costa, Mr Puls and Mrs Gerosolimo.

EARLY ARRIVALS & LATE PICK UPS

If you are dropping your child/children at St Kevin's before 8.45am they must attend before school care. If you are picking up your child after 3.45pm or 3:30pm (Wednesday) they must attend after school care. Staff are not available to supervise your child/children before 8.45am and it is unsafe to leave children on their own. We are privileged to have this service available to our community.

23 Parents read the last newsletter and completed the survey.

It would be great if 82 families respond to the survey!

How can we grow this number?  By suggesting to fellow parents to complete the survey.

Thank you to all parents who do complete the survey.

It is definitely a consistent bunch of LEGENDS!
