Captain's Report

by Lauren Hassing

HI HI PEOPLE!!

So far Term three has been a good one and let’s be real, it’s only going to get even better! We began with our first whole school assembly in a long time. This was to recognize those who have gone above and beyond in the classroom! It was so nice to see all the school community back together and a big congrats to all the award winners! We have also had some of our school leaders create focus groups and interview students about a new vision statement for our school! Stay tuned to hear from our principal team as to what this is going to be…

We have many exciting events coming up such as the “What I wish I knew” session in Year 9 SWEL next week, Year 10 Formal, the Senior School Formal with the Year 11’s and 12’s at the end of the term, the colour run on the last day of term, the Central Australia trip for Years 10-12, and our ATHLETICS CARNIVAL for the first time in a few years - so save the date 29th of August; be there or be square (P.s. GO GILMORE!!!)

To finish off with, I would like to highly encourage all student to make an appearance if you can to these big school events as they will certainly be one’s you won’t want to miss out on! I cannot believe that us Year 12’s only have around 5 or 6 weeks of our high school journey left... but who's counting?

Keep pushing everybody, the end is almost here!

Signing off,

Lauren (Loz) Hassing :)
