Family Expo in Term 2

We held the first of our termly Family Expo events late in Term 2. The aim was to re-engage with community post Covid by providing families and caregivers opportunities to connect with Woodville Gardens staff and staff from local agencies from Uniting Care Wesley Bowden, Believe Housing, Parks Library, YMCA Angle Park, Hippy, Kudos and Ferros care.  Approximately 70 people attended the event, held in the Aboriginal Language and Culture room and outside space. Thank you to Jodie, the cook from the child care space and Gloria, CDC, who ran the BBQ. Children played with the many activities provided by the agencies who attended as well as take home gifts donated by Anglicare quickest acts of warmth, Foodbank and Ridley Grove food relief.

This was a great collaboration B-6 involving Leadership, Gloria from DHS, Megan the Child Care Manager and Kayleen and Danny, Ab Ed support, as well as other staff supporting on the day and the range of service providers. Our next Expo is on Thursday 22nd September, Week 9, from 3pm-5pm. More information will follow closer to the date. We welcome you to join us as part of our school community.
