Year 8 Science

Creating models of cell structures

As part of the Victorian curriculum, we are currently studying Cells in Year 8. Throughout the unit we learn about the organelles in the cell, and the functions they perform. We learn about the differences between plant and animal cells, and we learn about specialised cells that allow organisms to function. In 8C and 8I, we have created models of plant and animal cells, to showcase the organelles and to allow our creative sides to have some air time in Science. Please enjoy these pictures of some of the models created by students in these classes.
