Years 5/6 Hoop Time

Hoop Time for the 5/6 students was a great day out! We had the Rookies team, Cavendish Comets, and a Future Stars team, Cavendish Cats, entered in the day. Students displayed excellent team player skills and their basketball skills were great! Thank you to parents and families for coming to cheer on our teams and show your support. A huge thank you to these helpers; Mr Hill for coaching and Alicia, Karl, Zac, Kate and Craig for scoring. 

The Cavendish Comets played four games winning only one game but really worked hard to play together and put all their skills to the test; playing offence and defense. The team passed the ball around fairly over the day and our goal scorers were Darcy Shipcott, Addison Nettleton and Justin Coates. Well done team!

The Cavendish Cats played five excellent games together coming second in their pool only losing one game. They scored a position in the semi finals against a Tarrington team and sadly were defeated. The team played with 100% effort and were always ready to score or have hands up for defense and put the pressure on.
