Week 6 already, the year is certainly moving very quickly. This week started with our Book Week Parade, where everyone had fun dressing up with the theme, Dreaming With Our Eyes Open. Well done everyone for your excellent costumes and joining in the parade. Thank you to Mrs Cain in the Library for organising all of the Book Week events.
Please see the photo Gallery page for more Book Week Photos.
TERM 3 PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Visiting our classrooms I see calm classrooms with happy smiling children engaged in their learning. The children are very busy learning new concepts, consolidating past concepts and showing a love for learning. The teachers are looking forwarding to meeting with parents for Term 3 interviews and sharing the achievements the children are making.
WELCOME TO THE DIRECTOR OF PORT PIRIE MS NICHI MARDON
On Wednesday our school welcomed a visit from Ms Mardon. It was a pleasure and a privilege to showcase our school and the excellent teaching & learning occurring at St Mary's. Our Director Mr Chris Smyth and four SPL, School Performance Leaders accompanied Ms Mardon.
ARMIDALE DIOCESAN PRINCIPAL'S CONFERENCE
Last week I had the opportunity to join with the Principals from across the Armidale Diocese to take part in our Term 3 conference in Moree.
A highlight of the conference was the official launch of the Armidale Diocesan Data Ecosystem live across Australia. The Data Ecosystem, which has been developed over the past three years, is an impressive tool that will change the way teachers and school leadership teams look at a whole range of school and student performance data. The data is then analysed to inform next steps in learning, teaching and improvement agendas. (See video below.)
