Foundation–Celebrating Learning

Foundation Mainstream

Foundation students have been lucky enough to experience their first ever Book Week in person this year. Our whole year level came together at school to share our costumes with each other and celebrate books and reading. All of us were so impressed at the effort and commitment made to our costumes. Authentic learning opportunities like Book Week foster engagement with texts and give every child a chance to join in. Celebrating Book Week is not only fun and adorable but also promotes a love of reading and literature. Thank you to all families for supporting your child’s reading!

Foundation Steiner

Learning through storytelling and self directed creative play are core foundations of the steiner prep class. In the last few weeks we have heard many stories, one of which was about some gnomes whose favourite restaurant was the wizards doubling restaurant, where everything they ordered came doubled! The children thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with doubles! We have also seen lots of stories, and plays being put on by the kids during inside play, which the children have thoroughly enjoyed watching.
