National Science Week in Garden

This month in gardening we celebrated National Science Week!

Students discussed the many careers available in the field of Science, and performed PH tests on soil samples from across the school.

We had some setbacks in the garden due to frosts and possums discovering the vegie patch, however are beginning to prepare for the warmer months ahead.

Children have enjoyed using hand tools to saw rounds of a fallen tree, turning of mulch and compost piles, weeding and mulching, and planting and installing tree guards. Many children have delighted in discovering Djerri in the soils - reaffirming language taught by Aunty Terri.

We are learning to propagate plants from cuttings!
