In Writing we have been making epic stories of Mrs Streitberger getting shrunk! We had a lot of fun writing about Mrs Streitberger. It took awhile but it was worth it! We followed something called the Writing Process we’re we draft, edit, revise and publish. We are making our books into stories to add them to the library. We made sure that we have WOW words, descriptive phrases and punctuation. Written by Isla and Sara

This week for Reading we went to the library to read some books like the world record books. We were also focusing on comparing texts that present similar information or ideas and discussing why we think one is more understandable or engaging than the other. We used Venn Diagrams and explored a range of texts including short stories, videos and books with no words. - Written by Stewart and Miss Honan

In the spirit of the Commonwealth Games, we are making 3D athlete villages in Maths! We used nets to plan, colour, and build some buildings by cutting and folding paper! We explored and calculated the area and volume of our athletes village. After, we made some rough estimates of how many athletes could live in our buildings. We used different multiplication strategies, including arrays, groups of, vertical multiplication and repeated addition to show out thinking. - Written by Tom

This fun and joyful week of school we have been focusing on recycled things including chewing gum, recycled sneakers and recycled medals! It’s been great learning about recycled things. The best thing about recycling is we keep the world clean! I hope that you are not littering or wasting paper, ink etc. -  Written by Emily and Tash

This week all seniors have been busy bees as we have been helping Bu Mundy manicure the garden. We have been planting, weeding, raking and digging all to make sure our garden is nice and pretty ready for the spring/summer seasons! We hope that our plums, apricots, strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes and herbs grow nice and healthy so the juniors can use them in their cooking lessons. Just a reminder that our school is collecting seed donations and would be more than happy if you made a kind donation to the garden. And good luck to our S.R.C’s who are making a hopefully phenomenal sign for the garden. That’s it from 3/4H today and we hope to see some more seed’s in our donation box! - Written by Emily and Tash 3/4H

Remember it is Indonesian Day this week on Wednesday 17th. Students are encouraged to where red and white clothes or indonesian clothes. You might even say to Bu Mundy "Happy Indo Day!". - Written by Stewart
