VCE Exams

This week students in Years 11 and 12 at King’s College studying VCE unit 3&4 level subjects completed their external exams. This always brings a great sense of relief to students and marks the end of 13 years of schooling for Year 12.

Year 12 students have been the first to endure two years of VCE study under Covid related restrictions. I would like to congratulate the class of 2021 at King’s College on not only surviving the challenges involved but thriving in the process.

This evening Year 12 students and their teachers will mark the end of school for the class with a celebration dinner at King’s College.

Students often see themselves as just one of the thousands who have completed school, but the Bible reminds us that there is only one you. “From the place of His dwelling, He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth: He fashions their hearts individually.” Psalm 33:14-15

I like the way author Max Lucado describes this. He says that no one can duplicate your life for you are tailor-made by God. No box of ‘backup yous’ sits in God’s workshop. You aren’t one of many bricks in the mason’s pile. You are it! If you aren’t you, the world misses out.

Let’s encourage our Year 12 students to pursue their dreams and look forward to the unique contributions they will make to the world as they put their trust in God who created them for such a time as this.

Remembrance Day

On Thursday, November 11th Sophie, and Hannah, two of our senior student leaders, represented King’s College at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Warrnambool by laying a wreath. In this very busy time for senior students, we thank them for giving their time to represent the school community so well.
