Pupil Free Day Professional Learning

Last Friday during our Pupil Free Day, Julie Reid ran some professional learning for our ES staff, as well as two members of our OSHC staff.  This learning was centred on ways we can protect children in our roles as educators, which include recognising signs when things in children’s worlds may not seem safe and secure.

The day also reminded us that we need to remember our own superpowers and use our Character Strengths when navigating our own worlds.  Please see below the VIA Strengths Chart which is not only something we use with students but a very useful tool for all of us.

I would like to thank Julie for this excellent day with lots of learning for all who attended. Julie is a wonderful resource to not only our staff and students, but to all of our school community.  I encourage you to read her (very wise) words on the Weekly Wellbeing Page which follows in this Newsletter.
