Sophanneth Hang
Untitled
2021
Sophanneth of Year 10 Acacia studied the technique of Double Exposure during her Photography class. Sophanneth has provided the following explanation of her digitally created artwork;
'The artwork contains an image of a woman staring straight ahead with the inner layer of branches sticking out from underneath. Art elements that can be seen are shape and texture. The shape of the female’s head and hair made it look unique, with the texture from the tree branches lightly blended with the girl’s features that made it look so beautiful and soft. The program Photoshop is used to create this edit. I inserted an image with the female into a frame, then selected the outline of the female body & head, and then inserted another image in the outlined part and change the opacity of the two images to make both images visible. The story behind this edit is that the female isn’t a human being, as she doesn’t have organs or a heart but instead she has tree branches that help her to survive and live on this planet. I was just experimenting with the different tools when I created this.'
