Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Improvement Team (CARIT)
We are really pleased that the NEW Year 7-9 English, EAL and Humanities curriculum, that over 25 staff have been working so hard to write and develop throughout the course of Term 4, is now being implemented during Head Start! Congratulations to all staff who were part of the development teams, as well as Learning Area Leaders, Martine Jansen, Nathan Jackson and David Pfeiffer. I would also like to acknowledge the work of Bec Carter who played a significant role in guiding the Learning Area Leaders to lead their respective teams.
Recently we called for staff to provide feedback on the Draft Exam Policy that this team has been working on. Additionally, the Policy for the ‘proposal of new subjects or modification to subjects’ was finalised by this team in the recent months, and is also ready for implementation in 2022. These documents will guide processes, provide alignment and transparency across both sub-schools and campuses.
I would like to thank all members of the Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Improvement Team in 2021 for their dedication and commitment to school improvement; Matt Laaksonen, Nicole Wilson, Bec Carter, Keenan Synnott, John Baston as well as Matt Sloan who led this team in the first half of the year.
