1/2 T

Since our full time return to onsite learning, I have been super impressed with everyone's learning and enthusiasm!

Keep up the regular reading and in particular counting practise -

forwards, backwards and skip counting too!

Literacy

We listened to an awesome story called Big Pet Day. Next we used this idea to imagine what it might be like if we all brought our own pets (real and/or imagined) to school. The stories we wrote were AMAZING and we are in the process of editing, enhancing and then we will publish our very own class book of stories.

We've been working on postcards for our Pen pals up in Sydney too.

Maths

We have been very busy practising our addition and subtraction strategies.

We have been solving problems in lots of different ways and even using the fact that addition and subtraction are the opposite of each other to help us.

Ed in Faith

This week we revisited the story of creation and talked lots about how God has given us the special job of caring for all of his creation.

When we do this, we are Stewards of Creation. We have special responsibilities and can take lots of positive actions to be good Stewards.

Thank you to all the students who have been writing and illustrating prayers for us to share during our whole class morning prayer.

We also participated in the Remembrance Day prayer and a minute of silence

and created our own poppy and solider displays.
