Literacy

Wow! We have some incredible readers and writers in Prep! Over the last couple of weeks we have continued to learn new digraphs to help us with reading and spelling.  Here we have made some silly sentences using ow/ou words. 

Maths

Over the past couple of weeks the Preps have been revising all things number! Counting (forwards and backwards), sequencing, ordering, subitising, addition, subtraction, place value and friends of 10. The Preps have been working hard at getting themselves ready for grade 1! Take a look at some of the fun activities we have been doing!

Worry Monsters! 

Last week the Preps were introduced to Sully, our class Worry Monster. We have been enjoying getting to know Sully and telling him our worries. Sully is not a normal monster, he likes to listen to worries then eats them up! He is also really good at cuddles and we love having him in our classroom. 

Remembrance Day

Last Thursday we commemorated Remembrance Day. The preps listened to a story about remembering all the men and women who have served our country. We also looked at different symbols such as the poppy and rosemary as other signs of remembrance.
