Victoria’s High -Ability Program

As a school community we would like to congratulate Theveen Wimalasuriya and Elijah Wettenhall for participating in Victoria’s High -Ability Program (VHAP) during Term 4.

Launched by the Minister of Education during remote learning, Theveen and Elijah worked along side 4000 other students from years 5-8; selected across Victoria and completed 10 weeks of critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity – enriching their understanding of English and Mathematics.

A highlight of the term was the series of state-wide Masterclasses led by Katrina Reynen from the Department of Education -Gifted Students branch and all the teachers of the schools linked into the VHAP Program this term.

As a school we wish Theveen and Elijah continue support to continue striving for their personal best.

'This writing class was very enjoyable, a lot of fun for someone who likes writing. I learnt a new arsenal of descriptive words, an inventory of knowledge, and a heart full of hope for my amazing writing in the future.' - Elijah W
