NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND NOMINATION FOR POSITIONS
We are excited to have the opportunity to reinstate the P & F following its hiatus throughout 2020 due to COVID restrictions. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the 2021 P & F AGM.
When: Wednesday 2nd June 2021
Where: St Joseph’s School Hall
Time: 6.30 pm
The P & F is your representative body at the school for all parents and friends to get involved and play an active role within the school. The P & F meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month during school terms for approximately an hour. Meetings are relaxed and informative, and a great way to see all the work that goes on behind the scenes to support the school.
At the AGM, all positions will be declared vacant and it would be great to see as many people as possible nominate for positions. Whilst we are all very busy with other commitments, being a part of the P & F gives us an opportunity to put something back into the school, make a difference and have some fun along the way.
The more people who get involved – the lighter the load and while there is no pressure, please consider taking on a position for the next year.
If you wish to nominate for a position, please complete the accompanying nomination form and return to the school office. The positions up for nomination are:
● President: The President provides leadership and direction for the P&F by working co-operatively and collaboratively with the Principal; Promoting the aim of the P&F in dealings with its members and supports the executive committee members.
● Vice President: The Vice-President assists the President in their role and in their absence presides over meetings and relevant duties.
● Treasurer: The Treasurer is responsible for ensuring that all the financial dealings of the P&F are carried out in accordance with the Broken Bay Constitution. He/ she receive all monies and keeps appropriate financial records which are presented at each general meeting.
● Secretary: The Secretary manages the day-to-day communications and records of the P&F as well as organising meetings, records accurate draft minutes and then formalises them for the subsequent meeting.
We will also be looking for as many general committee members as possible.
You will find a Nomination Form attached. In line with Covid requirements, we will require all those who are intending on attending the meeting to RSVP prior to the evening by either completing a nomination form or emailing stjosephspandfgi@gmail.com
