From the Executive Principal's Desk

Dear Parents/Guardians

Welcome to another new, exciting year! There has been lots of activity here at school over the past few weeks, in readiness for the new year. Over the summer break a number of classrooms and offices have been painted and re-carpeted; we have created new office/meeting rooms spaces; and our student toilets have been completely refurbished and now look new!

A reminder that the school starting days for Primary and Secondary students will be staggered again this year. The first day for all Prep-Grade 6 students is today (Friday 29 January) and the first day for Year 7-12 students is Monday 1 February. The Primary students will have begun the year with a special whole school assembly in the main auditorium, where they were welcomed and taken by their teacher, to their classroom.  Our first assembly is always a special time. We trust you will have enjoyed this.

Years 7-12 students will begin school on Monday 1 February, also with a special welcoming assembly in the main auditorium. This special assembly will only be for Secondary students and parents. There will be tea/coffee available for parents after the Primary and Secondary assembly. Primary students will go straight to their classroom at 8:45am on Monday 1 February.

I am pleased to let you know that we are now able to have parents at assemblies this year under COVID space rules. We are blessed to have a large auditorium space to cater for a large number of people safely.

I am very excited about the coming year at Heatherton Christian College.

Quote of the week…
