Welcome back to our students at year 9 and 10
It is a pleasure to warmly welcome back our year 9 and 10 students to classroom learning this coming Monday. It has certainly seemed an eternity, it is actually 6 months since we last had them in their physical classes. Even though they have been continuing with remote learning during this period, the school grounds, have been left empty without the vibrancy of their presence.
We have missed their bubbly energy and smiling faces during this long period of remote learning, and myself together with the team at 9 and 10 look forward to them reconnecting with their friends, teachers, wider school community and settling back into the routine of learning here at school.
On behalf of all teaching staff, we would like to thank all of our students and their parents who made time to attend our on line Parent Teacher Conferences held last term. Thank you to the many parents who commented on how they enjoyed the new format. I think many of you agree it was lovely to see one and other and discuss schooling during remote learning from the comfort of our own homes.
We greatly value the partnership we have with our families and the role it plays in improving learning and pathways outcomes for your child, made especially important during the challenging times of remote learning.
Year 9 students are encouraged to apply for the Senior School Scholarships.
These scholarships are for students entering year 10 in 2021, who display the school values of Pride, Achievement, Caring, Cooperation and Honesty. Students who are hardworking and striving to achieve their best. There are four scholarships areas available; Sport, Community, Academic and Leadership. Further information explaining the criteria and application details has been posted on compass. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information. These are due to me by Friday the 6 Th of November.
