Encouraging your "Remote Reading", from the Library and English Department

Maryanne Gustus

Dear Students,

As you all are once again away from us here at our beloved College, let us remind you of our Wheelers ePlatform.  We would not like to think that you do not have access to a myriad of wonderful books, both electronically and via audio, whilst you are learning from home.

Once again we inform you of our Wheelers ePlatform which some of you are already using regularly.  Of course this brings us much delight.  Please note that we are currently undertaking a free trial of Audiobooks through Wheelers and this will last, at this stage, until August 21st.  If there is enough usage we will look at making the Audiobooks permanently available to you all.  If you find reading a challenge, using an Audio book is a wonderful way to be able to escape into the magic of words, imagination and stories.

There are two ways to access Wheelers ePlatform. You will find links to both the Library and Wheelers on the Simon home page.

To sign in you need to use your Monivae network email address and password.

You will see a “Microsoft” sign in window….here you simply add your address, you will then see another Microsoft window for your password.

Please note: (You do not need to “Create” a Microsoft account at the sign in stage). If you have any difficulties please email me at

mgustus@monivae.vic.edu.au. I promise to reply.

You can browse the books in many ways, with BROWSE being the operative word.  Click on BROWSE to see the options offered, and don’t forget to have a look at the Wellbeing Collection, (something many of us are needing right now), and the AUDIO collection.

Best of luck everyone, share Wheeler’s ePlatform with your families if you like?

Stay well, warm, brave and kind….and keep smiling behind the mask.
