MSC Constitution #32:

It is good to be reminded from time to time of what it means to be a member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. Monivae, as a proud MSC school, often quotes constitution #32 to our students as part of teaching them what it means to be MSC.

It states

“Ours is a spirit of family and a spirit of true friendship formed by kindness and understanding, by compassion and mutual forgiveness, by gentleness, humility and simplicity, by hospitality and a sense of humour.”

During another unprecedented time for our community, I encourage each and every one of us to do what we can to ensure we are living the best life as an MSC that we can – even if the hospitality aspect has to be put on hold for the time being.

Tins for St Vincent de Paul (Tinnies for St Vinnies):

Our tins collection was a good example of our students and families demonstrating kindness, understanding and compassion for others. In a short turn around, we managed to once again collect an enormous amount of food for our local St Vincent de Paul – who use it to help out many in the Hamilton community.

St Vincent de Paul were extremely grateful, particularly with the possibility of restrictions in purchasing putting a strain on their ability to offer support.

Joke of the Week: Keeping with the theme of Constitution #32, the joke of the week is back.

When Jesus was a boy, he tried to think of a carpentry pun that woodwork.

He thought he nailed it but wasn’t sure because nobody saw it….

Coming Up:

  • Assumption Liturgy – keep an eye out for another online celebration.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved.
