Minnie your enthusiasm and engagement in Maths has been a delight in Foundation A. You are inquisitive and keen to learn about your 2D shapes and always keen to extend your thinking. 

Well done Indiana, you have shown commitment and determination this week in Writing. You have drawn upon your knowledge of the tricky words and effectively used your sounds to spell unknown words. I am so impressed by your perseverance! I can't wait to see what you write next. 

Ayaan has put so much effort into mastering all the sounds and gestures we have learned in phonics. He is a fabulous contributor and puts effort into all his phonics work. Super work Ayaan!

Leandri did a fantastic job at retelling our big book Pete's Secret Plan in a cominc strip. She included detailed pictures and speech bubble to retell all the important parts of the story. Great work Leandri!

Well done Lewis, you used your critical thinking and skip counting to discover the many ways to make $1.20. You discovered that instead of using a 20 cent coin, we could use four 5 cent coins and even two 10 cent coins. Great work buddy!

Mia you have shown initiative, independence and enthusiasm with your reading and writing this week. It's fantastic to see you sharing your work, asking questions and giving feedback in class. Keep it up Mia!

Daniel created a detailed and well presented comic strip to retell the main parts of the book, Wombat Stew. He included speech bubbles, thought bubbles, captions and eye catching drawings to retell the main parts of the story. Well done Daniel!

Flynn has put in a wonderful effort into his Remote Learning Reflection Booklet, thinking about the people who supported him during this time. Congratulations on an awesome start back at school!

Congratulations Theo on your efforts in Maths this week. You have logically explained what strategies you used to work out your addition concepts, especially with Bridging and Number Line tasks. Your knowledge of 'Minecraft' has been exceptional. Thank you for positively assisting your peers with this!

Congratulations Brooke on such a wonderful start back to school. Your confidence has continued to grow throughout the year and it is so lovely to see you engaging in class discussions more often. You have so many wonderful ideas, keep them coming!

Congratulations Jimmy on your determination and commitment to building up your English. Your writing and speaking have improved immensely and you are partaking in class discussions with enthusiasm. Well done!

Harshitha has participated really well in our Circle Time discussions and written activities involving reflective thinking. She confidently expressed her ideas about the highlights, challenges and feelings experienced during remote learning. Thanks for sharing, Harshitha! 

Well Done Javen for transitioning back into school so wonderfully! Since being back at school Javen has shown focus and determination in all areas, he did some wonderful research on the elements of poetry and drew a great enlargement of a Bumble Bee in Maths. You are a STAR! 

Dinaya was fantastic during remote learning and has continued that since coming back to school. She has been cooperating really well with her peers and is doing a great job incorporating figurative language into her poetry. Well done!

Martin has completed his persuasive writing in a positive and determined manner. He wrote an excellent argument stating that mobile phones should be allowed at school.

Ellyn always shows care and effort when completing work tasks. Her work is always ruled up neatly and her handwriting is amazing! Congratulations and keep up the excellent work! 

Samika always takes great care to present beautiful artwork. She has made a great start to her 'crazy hair' patterned drawing. Well done Samika!
