Principal's Report

A Reflection on Semester 1

As I have referred to in previous newsletters and newsfeeds over the Term, this Semester has certainly been like no other we have experienced, and I take great joy in celebrating the fact that all of the children have returned to school and our school community has come together again, albeit somewhat differently and with the added responsibility of doing most things slightly different than what we would normally do. Nevertheless, I cannot express how proud I am of our entire school community as to how we have worked and supported each through this challenging time. We have epitomized the school values of responsibility, respect, resilience, care and even creativity.  Thank you, everyone!!

Virtual School Assembly

We all enjoyed our first Community virtual assembly on Monday, it was such a thrill to see so many parents able to log in and join the assembly. The Terrific Kids Awards for Term 1 and the Student Achievement Awards for the week were presented. The Sport’s Captains Bianca and James read out the Age Level winners of the House Cross Country Competition held the previous Friday, followed by the winning House for 2020 - Anyula. The School Vice Captains, Charlie and Aisha spoke about the upcoming whole school reward for the SWPBS Token System which I can now announce is the ‘Crazy Hat or Hair Day’. Tomorrow all students can come to school with a crazy hat or with crazy hair or both 😊.  And don't forget tomorrow school finishes at 2.30pm!!

Finally, as holidays are upon us I would like to wish our wonderful school community the very best for a safe, restful, re-energising break and look forward to all our inspiring students returning to school on Monday 13th July .

Stay well,

Helen
