Out and About the School
School Crossing News!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday Kevin Anderson MP visited us to announce that we have been successful in our bid to secure a crossing supervisor to man the crossing outside the school. The job is currently being advertised and the position will commence as soon as the successful applicant has received training.
We have been talking about the safety aspect of this crossing in P&F, Board and staff meetings since the 80’s! We have met with local council traffic committees a number of times over the last 20 years as well and it is so comforting to know we have finally been successful in our lobbying.
Thank you to all the parents and staff over the years who have been the voice of our children, children who deserve to be safe all day, every day, at school. Thank you also to the Yr 5 and 6 teachers who maintain a high standard of safety as they cross the road with the students multiple times a day during our building phase.
Sickness
A reminder that students must not come to school if they are showing any signs of sickness. If your child is at school with a runny nose, cough, fever etc we will ring parents to collect straight away. The NSW Department of Health says anyone with flu or cold-like symptoms should be tested for COVID-19, especially if you have traveled in the past 14 days to a high risk area or have been in contact with a known case.
School Photos
The new dates for School Photos are set for:
- Wednesday 19 August
- Thursday 20 August
Photo envelopes have been sent home and are due back to school by Friday 14 August. Please DO NOT expect to return envelopes on the day. This is very difficult for the office and the photographers to manage.

School Fees
Just a reminder that Term 2 fees are overdue. Please contact Jeni Muller either by phone or email if you have any concerns. jmuller4@arm.catholic.edu.au
Term 3 fee statements will be emailed on Monday.
Book Club
Book Club brochures have been sent home with your children this week. Should you wish to order, please return to the office by Friday 31st July. You can also order online via scholastic.com.au/LOOP or download the app.
Kindergarten 2021
We have almost finalised our enrolments for Kinder 2021. If you are a current family and are yet to enrol your child, you need to do this ASAP. Please do not assume we know your younger child is ready to start school. It makes it very difficult to plan student numbers when we receive late enrolments.
Compass Parent Portal
You will need to be logged into your Compass Parent Portal to be able to view and download your child's Term 2 Interim Report.
We still have a few parents who have not logged into the Compass Parent Portal. The Portal will be used a lot more this year and it will become the main source of communication from your child's classroom to you at home. If you have lost your log in details, please contact the office.
Don't forget, once you have logged in on the Compass website, you can download the App to your phone.
Uniform Shop
Canteen
The canteen has re-opened 5 days per week. Sue is still looking for helpers on the following days:
5th Tuesday of the month
1st, 4th and 5th Thursday of the month
3rd and 4th Friday of the month
