Science
Year 9 Science
In Year 9 Science we are investigating the phenomenon of electricity and electrical circuits. Students were asked to create a Steady Hand circuit and challenge themselves to complete it with the fastest time without causing the lightbulb to illuminate. Some very creative circuits were produced and ultimately Cobie Ralis was victorious with the quickest successful time. Who knew circuits could be so competitive and FUN!
Year 11 Biology
In Year 11 Biology, students have been learning about how molecules in the body are constructed.
We have used the molecular building kits to create representations of glucose, lipids and amino acids. Most recently we used 20 different beads to represent the 20 different naturally occurring amino acids.
Students were given a specific order of amino acids and made up a unique bracelet with
beads representing their newly made proteins.
