Ascension of the Lord

Last Sunday 24th May  the Ascension of the Lord was celebrated.  Whilst children often draw pictures of Jesus 'zooming to heaven' after COVOD19, zooming takes on very different connotations. These are the slides that we shared with the children to develop their faith knowledge around a challenging concept.

Pentecost Sunday 31st May

This Sunday, we celebrate the disciples being filled with the Holy Spirit and having the strength and courage to spread God's word.  This will be the foundation of the Year 6's work as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation early next term.

Please see our slides below.

Reconciliation 2020

Today through Caremonkey the Year 3 students who still need to make their Sacrament of Reconciliation will receive an email with some dates and times in the following week. Unfortunately due to our rushed end of last term, there are nine students that this will involve. As of 1st June 20 people are allowed in Church, socially distanced of course.

Confirmation 2020

Please note that in our school calendar the dates for Confirmation for our Year 6 students are Tuesday 4th August and Thursday 6th August. I have added a TBC next to them. In speaking to Father Ian, we are unsure as to whether these will be our dates and will advise you as soon as we know. Mr Callery and Ms Dempsey will teach the Religious Education curriculum as would be expected so that the students are ready to go. At this stage I am unsure of the parish student involvement. Sadly we will not be able to have our Family Faith Night nor our Reflection Day, but we will make it a special Sacrament regardless. Thank you for your understanding. Please contact me if you have any queries.
