From the VET Desk 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been some changes communicated;

VET Work Placement

All work placement has been cancelled for the foreseeable future. This will not impact on any student’s ability to receive their Preliminary or Higher School Certificate. A letter has been sent home to individual students and parents outlining this decision by NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). I will update you when more information is received. 

TAFE Study

All TAFE classes have been moved to an online environment for the foreseeable future. Students have been working well in the Marian Centre and despite some technical issues, have been completing the work required from their trainers. We are hopeful TAFE will be able to resume as normal soon.

Primary Industries Weed Spraying

As part of the Primary Industries course, our Year 12 students spent last week completing the practical component for their competencies of ‘Applying Chemicals Under Supervision’ and ‘Treating Weeds’. 

Thanks to Mr Stefanski and Ms James for organising the morning and getting all the students to complete this practical component of the course.
