This Week!
This Week!
Welcome to the Week 8 student newsletter. Today is the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Throughout the Gospel, we hear stories about the incredible giving of Jesus’ love from His heart, whether in miracle stories, the forgiveness of sinners, or the compassion for people.
The heart is a symbol of love and the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a symbol of his love for everyone, no matter what. It is also a sign of God's tender love for all of us because God gave us Jesus to carry out a special mission. That mission is what we call the Good News. The Good News is that you are loved by God, that you deserve love, forgiveness and compassion, and you can love, forgive and be compassionate.
This morning at assembly we talked about how you can be like the Sacred Heart of Jesus in all that you do for others and say to them. Tonight you might like to talk to one of your parents or carers about how someone showed their heart to you today by what they did for you. Perhaps you used your heart today to do something for someone else.
In Week 9, have a great week of learning.
May St Joseph bless you.
