Remote Learning Students

Student Representative Council

The student representative council has been working over the last few weeks providing guidance on how the student body has found remote learning and how we can make the transition for students smoother coming back to school.

The role of SRC is to be a voice for the student body. The vision for SRC is for ‘All members of the SRC have an active role in the decision making within the school. As students, we believe in helping one another be the best people that we can be while developing strong morals and empowering each other to be contributing members of our community’.

For students to become members of SRC, they were required to submit an application to the school, which the school captains read over. Mikayla and Ruby both commented on the quality of applications from students across a variety of year levels. After the group was formed, it was decided that School Vice-Captain Jacob Sheldrick would be the SRC President for 2020.

As students return to school, they will have the opportunity to apply to join if they wish. Currently, the students comprising the SRC are:

Ryan Hamilton

Sam Low

Isabelle Watson

Aemelia Stevenson

Audrey Low

Skye Colautti

Eve Burt

Chloe Slattery

Georgia Brace

Paris McMurray

Victoria Deighton

Furthermore, the college captains Mikayla Short and Ruby Langford along with their Vice Captains Jinja Shub and Taylah Chipperfield will be involved as part of their leadership roles.

I want to congratulate all the students on their efforts to date and look forward to seeing this group do great things over the coming months.
