Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends,

Remote Learning has ended officially today. Congratulations to you all. We look forward to our Year 3-6 students returning to school next Tuesday after the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

I am sure that many of you are feeling just like I am.................... "Can't we just get back to normal!"

However we are still living with the COVID 19 threat and as such we still need to prepare and protect as best we can.

A reminder for those families now returning to on-site learning so as to keep ourselves safe.

 - Drop off  and pick up is through all 3 normal gates to spread families out.

- Parents please refrain from entering the school unless you have a child who is anxious or need to be at the office for some reason.

 - Class Teachers are in their rooms from 8.45am.

 - Students arrive at school  between 8.45 and 9am and go straight to their classes.

 - Parents and students are not to congregate either before or after school in the school yard.

-Staff and students are following hygiene procedures and  are social distancing where possible.

Well done on the learning this week that I have viewed, either digitally through Seesaw and Google Classroom or in the F-2 classes that have been back at school. I know the teachers are very proud of student learning over the 'remote learning' stage of this term.

Regarding uniform, there are currently some supply issues. Please make contact with Debbie in the office to check whether we have what you need for your child. If not your child can wear sports uniform in the meantime until we have the missing uniform you require.

I really thank God, and Daniel Andrews, that you are all coming back to school!

Let your light shine!

God Bless

Rod

School Attendance and Unexplained Absence

If you are running late (after  9:00 am ) please attend the office to sign your child into school.

As per our policy this will be our morning routine for absences:

Parents will be contacted as soon as practicable on the morning a student is absent via a phone call or text message.

If parent does not reply or is unreachable the emergency contacts will be contacted by the school.

If there is still no response, and the school feels that the child is in danger, the police will be contacted.

Ongoing unexplained absences or lack of cooperation regarding student attendance will result in

a formal conference being organized. Unresolved attendance issues will be referred to D.H.H.S.

This is a legal requirement.
