Principal's Message

Mrs Paula Hambly
It’s wonderful when students and teachers come back from a camp or an excursion and team members make a point of telling me just how impressed and proud they are of our students. This happened after the Year 7 and 11 camp that ran earlier this week. The team members who attended this experience were so rapt with the students that attended this camp. They were helpful, supportive, engaged in the activities and great role models. They demonstrated the core values of respect, responsibility and participation even when they were asked to do activities well beyond their normal levels of comfort. I know this positive behaviour is happening in classrooms all over our school and on every excursion and this is one reason why our teachers are happy to provide extracurricular experiences to support the learning that is happening in these classrooms. This was a very similar report that I received from the Stage 5 geography excursion and the Western Area Cross Country. These are the moments that remind me that we have a great school filled with dedicated team members and awesome students.
Just a reminder that reports will go out soon and primary will have their parent teacher interviews. Secondary students don’t have interviews this term. They will be held on Tuesday of week 10 in Term 3. If you would like to discuss your child’s progress as depicted in this report, teachers are available to do this, just make an appointment with the office.
