REGIONAL ATHLETICS NEWBOROUGH 15th OCTOBER

Regional Athletics

Yesterday, Tuesday the 15th October, saw the Gippsland Regional Athletics’ Carnival held at Newborough. Promising Gippsland primary school athletes competed to qualify for the State Championships to be held next Thursday, 24th at Lakeside Stadium. Contestants had to finish in the top two in an event to qualify for this competition. Many thanks to all those family members who were able to make the trip to support their children and the team.

Our team are to be congratulated on their efforts and behaviour. Not all of our students were able to advance to the state level however they can feel proud of what they achieved and the commitment they made. Well done!

Team members who did qualify will find the relevant information on the School Sport Victoria Website. Parents will need to make arrangements for their child’s transport to Lakeside. Further information will be sent home later in the week.
