Performing Arts Update

Term 1 in Performing Arts has been full of mindfulness, acting skills and performing to our friends.

In Term 2 we will be getting ready for our school Production Alice in Wonderland Disney Jr, which will be in term 3 on Thursday 13th September at Nazareth - Look out for more news as it comes in!

In Term 2 we will hold auditions for 5/6 pupils - all children interested in auditioning already have an audition script and song to learn over the school holidays. Any child interested in auditioning for either a principal role or backstage/technical role must audition in term 2.

I’m really looking forward to sharing more news about our creative and mindful learnings in the PA room through Dojo and Newsletters.

Visual Arts Update

5/6

Level 6’s ‘Leave Your Mark’ Project this year, is based upon the School Theme, ‘Every person Flourishing and Known’.

Students have begun investigating what this means and how it relates to our school community as well as to themselves. They are also exploring some of the ways in which it may be depicted as a large community visual arts wall piece, as a mural. The mosaic will be designed to be placed on the quad wall closest to Ms Doyle’s classroom.

Our Pictures will keep you all in the loop from the beginning design stages to the end product – a mystery to us all!!!
