Year 1 have started to complete their self-portrait showing “Me on my Holiday’s” and have really enjoyed working on such a large scale. The finished artworks are A2 in size and look amazing!
Year 2 have started to complete their self-portraits inspired by the colourful artworks of Brazilian artist Romero Britto. We learnt about basic facial proportions and were asked to depict elements of their personality in the artwork.
Year 3 are continuing on with their self portraits inspired by the book ‘The Colours of Us’ They have started to add colourful backgrounds. More details to come!
Year 4 have started to create mixed media Australian Native bird artworks, inspired by contemporary Australian artist Grotti Lotti.
Year 5 have started to complete their paper mache sculptures inspired by indigenous artist Bronwyn Bancroft. Very detailed and very colourful!
Year 6 have completed the drawing component of their realistic self-portraits. They will now move on to creating a colourful background for their artworks
During week 4 there was a selection of sculptural artworks from years 1-6 on display in the school hall. I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the amazing sculptures! All sculptural work will be going home with students over the coming weeks.
