Scholastic Book Club

Thank you to all families who have ordered books throughout the year from our school book club ‘Scholastic Australia’. Over the 7 issues, there certainly has been many books bought by a variety of students across all grade levels. This all contributes to our rewards and this year we have received $540 worth of free books for our library. Of course someone has to collate and sign off on the orders and then distribute them in the class buckets and for this we are forever grateful to Anna Saraullo.  It’s only about an hours work an issue, but a valuable hour spreading the joy of books and reading with our students. Thank you Anna for your support with our school book club and for giving up your time to coordinate this. We are indeed very appreciative of this!

PS: If you think you may be able to assist Anna or even take over from her, please speak to Anna or myself - Karen Wakeling.

LIBRARY NEWS

Just a reminder that overdue notes have been sent home with some students. We would appreciate that these books are returned by tomorrow or if they have been lost then the appropriate fines be paid up, so we can replace them ready for next year.

Thank you to all those who have returned their books on time.

Well, the new building is certainly taking shape and it’s getting exciting as we can definitely see the layout beginning to appear. It’s getting to the stage where we are thinking shelving, tables and reading areas. Bring on the April holidays next year, I say!

Thanks for your support in 2019 with borrowing, book club, Book Fair, Book Week, Premier’s Reading Challenge and for enjoying books and reading with your children. We look forward to a very exciting 2020 with a new library!
