Easter is coming!
Raffle prizes! (Not Issi and Myrtle...)
The P & C is holding an Easter Raffle and books of tickets to sell were sent out last week. Many delicious and decadent chocolate eggs and bunnies have kindly been donated for the raffle by staff and Sam and Rob Glover. Also in the raffle are a collection of very cuddly stuffed toys and a few other exciting bits and pieces. Tickets cost fifty cents each or three for one dollar.
The winners will be drawn on the last day of term and thank you in advance for supporting this venture. All money raised will support our school.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) are holding an Easter guessing competition over the next two weeks. We have thirteen containers of various sizes that will be stuffed with Easter Eggs! The children can have one guess for fifty cents or three guesses for one dollar. The closest to the number of eggs in the container wins the eggs!
Children can make their guesses before school each day and the winners will be announced on the last day of term.
We are also holding an Easter Hat Parade and an egg hunt on that day. Please support and help your child to make an Easter Hat for the parade, if you can.
The SRC are raising money for Lucinda the cat lady who runs Pets and Saddles in North Lismore. Lucinda rescues cats, has them de-sexed and keeps them off the streets and out of the bush. She has no government funding and does all this with her own money and donations. The SRC decided that this was a worthy, local cause to support. Please support us in raising money to help animals in our local area.
Harmony Day is officially March 21, but we will be celebrating on Friday, March 26th. It is a day to celebrate our diverse population and all the different cultures here in Australia. We are hoping that all the children and staff will dress up in national dress (or similar) from another country on that day. We are also going to experiment with foods from around the world and learn about other countries. Please donate a gold coin if you dress up. All money goes to the SRC.
Due to our already very busy schedule and the fast-approaching end of Term One, Science Day is postponed until Term Two.
