NAPLAN preparation

NAPLAN 2021 will be held during Week 4 and 5 of this term and MCA is moving to the online platform. Last week your son participated in a school readiness testing (SRT) event which is a requirement for all schools that have not previously administered online testing.  This event provides us with important information about our College’s technical readiness and the preparations we might need to be ready for NAPLAN online.

An additional benefit to the SRT is that all boys have been provided with an opportunity to become familiar with the test format, question types and the online testing experience prior to sitting the tests in May.

A technical requirement for NAPLAN online is that all student devices must install the locked-down browser.  During the SRT we have ensured that this has occurred.  Students will also need to ensure that they have headphones compatible with their device being used for testing.  Bluetooth-enabled devices are not allowed; therefore, air pods or wireless headphones will not be permitted.

The schedule for testing is outlined below.   When your child is not sitting a NAPLAN test they will be in normal timetabled classes.

If you have any further questions regarding NAPLAN please contact Mrs Roxanne Rosenberg (rosenbergr@marash.qld.edu.au).
