TIS – Tertiary Information Service (Mon 3rd May) Yr 12 VCE

The Tertiary Information Service is a collective of universities, TAFE institutes and independent tertiary colleges helping students prepare for future careers. On Monday 3rd May their travelling roadshow comes to Shepparton for Year 12 students wishing to find out more about education and training options beyond secondary school. Predominately, this relates to courses accessed via VTAC, a process we will lead students through in Term 3.

It will feature stalls and the opportunity to speak with recruitment staff from each university as well as some TAFE and private training organisations. This is the only opportunity our students have to interact with all of them locally. As such we are arranging for all interested VCE Year 12 students to have the opportunity to attend in the time slot TIS has allocated our students.

Students will leave by bus from their senior campus (both Wanganui & McGuire campuses) at 11:40am (the end of recess) to Mercy Stadium in Shepparton and return to class towards the start of lunch. This will impact session 3 classes that day. Students will need to check with their class teacher whether they are able to miss that class and attend TIS but will only be able to attend if they return their permission slip to the main office. A copy can be downloaded here:
