School Based Apprenticeships & Traineeships

A School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship offers students the option of combining a senior secondary program with part-time employment, school and training. 

In 2020 Jada Cooper, then year 11, commenced a School Based Traineeship with Victoria Police in Shepparton. While last year was a very interrupted one, this year every Wednesday Jada goes to work at the Shepparton Police station. As part of the program with the group trainers Skills Invest, Jada attended the Victoria Police Academy with other trainees from across the state. 

It is highly likely that in 2021 this opportunity will also become available for current Indigenous Year 10’s. Interested students should keep an eye out for announcements later in the year via the newsletters and student bulletin.
