NAPLAN starts on Tuesday 11th May for Grades 3 and 5. We need the support of our parents to ensure that our scheduled assessments run smootly for our teachers and students. Please arrive at school on time and set your child up for success by being positive and encouraging them to do their best. Most of our assessments will commence in the morning session by 9.30am. If your child is absent from school due to illness please follow the normal procedure to inform the school. Our NAPLAN Coordinators will be able to schedule a catch up test session for students who require it as long as it falls within our scheduled testing window.
NAPLAN tests the sorts of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life, such as reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy. It is important to remember that NAPLAN is not about passing or failing, but about assessing learning progress. At the classroom level it is one of a number of important tools used by teachers to measure student progress.
Please see the information regarding the St Edward's School Assessment Schedule for 2021.

Have a great week,
