Colac Division Athletics
Well done to all the athletes from Sacred Heart who competed in The Colac Division Athletics Carnival last Friday at the Colac Central Reserve. Our athletics team showed great sportsmanship on the day. They not only encouraged their own team mates, but also friends from other schools. A big thank you to all the parents and the Trinity students who helped out on the day. You helped make the athletics carnival run more smoothly. Sacred Heart students who have advanced to the Greater Western Athletics will be announced in Term 2.
State Lawn Bowls Championships
The State Lawn Bowls Championships has changed venues. They will now take place in Sunbury on Wednesday 28th April. This is an undercover venue.
Golf Coaching Sessions
Well done to our Year 5 and 6 children who participated in the golf lessons over the last two weeks with Haydn Garner. It was fantastic to see the improvement in the children. Haydn is offering golf lessons in Term 2 at the Colac Golf Club. Do not hesitate to ask if you need more information.
The Colac Primary Schools Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday 20th May at the Colac Golf Club for the children who qualified for the event. Qualifiers will be informed in the first week of Term 2.
Swimming Lessons
In Term 2 all children from Years 1 – 4 will attend swimming lessons at Heather’s Swim School (Main Street, Elliminyt). On their designated day, children will need to bring along their towel, bathers, goggles – all named and labelled – in a separate bag.
We need parents (who have WWCC – working with children checks) to help us with the swimming program each week. Please indicate on PAM if you can help and on what dates.
The swimming timetable for Term 2 is as follows:
