Celebrating Northcote's history

Last week we enjoyed the annual 'Back to' alumni lunch, held in the training restaurant at Melbourne Polytechnic. Alumni from across the decades enjoyed catching up old friends, reminiscing about their own school days and hearing about how much the school - and schooling - has changed. Alumni in attendance included former Premier (and our Library's namesake), John Cain, and retired County Court judge, now author, Graham Fricke, who delivered an entertaining keynote speech. Year 8 and 9 student leaders and members of the Ripples Magazine editorial group were also in attendance, making the most of the opportunity to learn about their school's history.
