NHS Respectful Relationships
In Term 1 Northcote High School was selected to be a Lead School in the Department of Education's Respectful Relationships Initiative 2017-2018.
What is the Respectful Relationships initiative?
Respectful Relationships is about tackling family violence and respectful relationships through education. As part of a staged process, all Victorian schools will be supported to implement a whole school approach. As a community we will look at staff practices, classroom management, school events, sport programs, uniform and other occasions, to ensure all aspects of a school’s operation and culture are underpinned by gender equality. This work also ties in with our school values of fairness and humanity.
We will be providing training opportunities for staff, students and parents to raise awareness and to start community conversations. Look out for further information and events in newsletters and Compass news items throughout 2017 and 2018.
