On the 21st of April Brunswick Secondary College had Athletics, our second big carnival of the year! It was a fun filled day for all with fabulous weather. All students had the opportunity to participate in exciting competition regardless of whether they participated in the social events or competitive events. Many records were broken and it was a very fun day for all!
However, only one house can come out on top….. And that house was Lan Se!!! (blue house) I'm so proud of you all Lan Se, congratulations to each and every one of you for your participation and competition.
A huge congratulations and thankyou to all those from every house who participated. We hope you had as fun of a day that the house captains did!

There were 7 [competition] events: shotput, discus, 100m sprint, 400m sprint, high jump, long jump and triple jump. There were also other things to do like get fairy bread and hot drinks from the SRC kiosk (yum) as well as the Best Dressed competition for each house (they won a bag of lollies!)
Overall the day was great fun - it was awesome!

A lot of students participated in all of the events. These events included shot put, discuss, long jump, triple jump, high jump, 400m and 100m sprint. There was a best dressed competition and 1 person from each house was picked by the house captains and won a prize. Some people served drinks and fairy bread from a stall set up near the sprinting marshalling area.

The athletics carnival is currently the highlight of my year at school so far. I got a ribbon in every event I did! It was good fun because we enjoyed a day of hanging out with our friends, great weather, and it was fun for sporty people. Overall I had a great time!

The four houses (Lan Se, Oro, Cagaar and Abyad) went against each other to win points by competing in the events and it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed watching the events and chatting with my friends as well. My favourite part was cheering on my friends when they competed!
