A warm hello to our community!
Its been an exciting beginning to Term 2 for the school - and also for the SRC.
This term, the SRC implemented a major structural reform by splitting the student body into multiple committees. All members of SRC had the opportunity to join a committee to work on an area they in which they want to affect change. Our leaders have stepped up to the challenge, demonstrating impressive leadership, communication, and teamwork ability!
We would like to congratulate them on their hard work and commitment to the student body.
Twilight Market Committee | Leader: Sienna Seychell
The Twilight Market Committee is working together to pull together our amazing yearly night market held here at BSC. We have started off strong, deciding that our annual Twilight Market will be held on the 8th of October!
Very soon a poster competition for the market will be open to art students, so make sure to keep a lookout. This is a great opportunity to get your art out there so don’t miss out!

STEM X Sustainability Committee | Leaders: Xavier Cohen & Vy Vu
The STEM X Sustainability Committee aims to increase students' interest in STEM and sustainability in the school. We are working on delivering activities in Science Week and workshops in Plastic Free July.
For Science Week, we are planning lunchtime and in-class activities to promote interest and engagement with all fields of science. We will work closely with the Science teachers to run experiments and practical demonstrations of science and technology. We are also collaborating with Sustainability Club to create workshops and sustainability initiatives for Plastic Free July. We are working on a soft plastics recycling scheme and workshops such as beeswax wrap-making to improve sustainability practices in the school.

Student Agency Committee | Leaders: Madeleine Horner & Alexandra Sharples
The Student Agency Committee responds to students’ concerns and ideas; it is our aim to make sure students feel heard at school.
We are currently focused on student wellbeing and are working with peer support representatives to promote BSC’s existing wellbeing services and develop student-led ones.
Other projects include creating a cleaner school environment and collecting student feedback about Home Group sessions.

House Committee | Leader: Alia Wong
The House committee is made up of people from all different year levels with a passion of making the BSC house system even better.
We are currently working on trying to in-cooperate the house system across different aspects of the school and introduce new and exciting events. This includes trying to introduce house logos to BSC!
We are soon to commence a logo designing competition and the finalised logo will be the face of our houses. This is a great opportunity to showcase your artistic talent so don't miss out!
