Multiplication and Division 

This term, students have been learning different strategies to help them multiply and divide numbers. Practising multiplication number facts, double facts and skip counting are some of the ways students can solve multiplication and division problems. 

In the pictures below, students have been creating arrays and writing the matching number sentence to show their mathematical thinking. 

Writing and LLF  

Students have been exploring adjectives, nouns and verbs to improve their word choice within their writing pieces. Over the last few weeks, students watched Kids MasterChef to identify and record rich words to describe food in a fun and engaging way. They also learnt about language devices such as alliteration, similes and emotive language. Students in MLA then created their Dream Meal and wrote a detailed descriptive passage incorporating the rich vocab they have learnt.
