Grade 5 & 6

Ms Lupa, Miss Eade & Mrs Trewick

Well, there has certainly been no ‘easing back into it’ for the senior students. The year 5 and 6 students headed off to Anglesea camp in week 2 of the term. The highly anticipated event didn’t disappoint with ziplining, surfing, rock climbing and mountain bikes being the main attractions. Students also mentioned that the trampolines, air hockey table and beach walk were pretty cool too. We made the most out of some unfavourable weather by playing a new game called 9 Square in the Air. The amazing game was a massive hit and kept everyone entertained for the afternoon.

We got straight back into our learning in week 3. Students continued exploring different types of poetry in writing. We created a Diamante and a Cinquain poem which was then published using an online program called Canva. In maths we have continued our measurement unit. Students particularly enjoyed measuring the perimeter of their bodies and items in the classroom.
